Astilbe fanal


Compact small variety with bright lime green foliage and brilliant red fluffy flower heads.


Has dark stems to 60cm, bearing dark reddish-green, divided leaves topped by dense spikes of deep crimson flowers.

Top tip: Don’t let it dry out completely. Happy in dappled shade.

Height: 30-60cm

Propagation: Woody roots branch to produce new shoots that can be potted on.

Soil conditions: Consistently damp but not waterlogged.

Planting: Plant directly into damp soil.
