Canadian pond weed

One of the most popular oxygenators, but can be invasive and difficult to control.


Can be invasive, so never introduce to large ponds, pools or lakes.  Provides shelter and nursery for invertebrates, baby fish and amphibians.

Top tip:-  Suitable for small garden ponds and mini ponds, not suitable for large ponds or lakes.  Once established is very difficult to control.

Planting depth:_  30cm – 1.5m.  Bunches are weighted, but to kick start in a new pond, plant into 1/2 ltr planting crates using heavy garden loam or Westland Aquatic compost.

Bunches:- Weighted with a minimum of 6 strands
